WALL HANGER

Based on the concept and its decorative and ornamental expression the Wall Hanger lies on the border between art and design.

Consisting of wood residues discarded during the cutting process, the wall hanger is a statement of the large amount of wood that goes to waste. It is based on a sustainable principle beyond just being made of sustainable wood.

The project is also an experiment in new ways of working with wood and staging the wood and its aesthetics - even with cams and "imperfections". The design has taken inspiration in the pattern of the pearlcollar from the Greenlandic national costume and draws references to the embroidered wall mount, that many know from their grandparents' home.
